Letter of Introduction

Dear Mr. King,
I actually do have someone of a background as a writer. I was in Publications Class with is also known as the newspaper during high school. We did learn how to write articles in the paper. I took it for a semester, and I thought it was a really cool class. Although my favorite part was doing layouts since I was the layout editor. I also took English Composition my senior year of high school we did a lot of personal essays which are my favorite. For some scholarships I wrote a few essays about personal experiences and my personal life although I did not win anything I still thought they were fairly decent. I also had a class called stress management in high school, not that I needed it or anything, but we got to sleep in the class so it was fun, but we wrote a lot of journal entries which I thought really does help with stress. I know I do have some experience with writing but I know I do not think I am a good writer at all.
My field of study at Ohio University is Pre-Sport Management. I just changed my major actually today. I was in Pre-Exercise Physiology, but I did not like all of the science courses I would have to take, so I decided to take a different career in sports. I want to be an event coordinator at a basketball game, baseball game, or even soccer. It really does not matter as long as it is a sport. So after college I hope to get an internship with a sports team preferably a professional one, although I would love to be in the intercollegiate athletics as well.
My home town is in Columbia Station, OH. It is a smaller town, rural, but there are plenty of places to eat and malls close by. Although I did not go to high school there, I went to high school in Middleburg Heights, OH. I just recently moved to Columbia. While I am at home during my free time I usually work, I do not really like to, but it has to be done. I also hang out with friends, shop, watch movies, work out, and relax with my family.
Obligations I have beyond my academic work include; work. I work at the college of Health and Human Services in Grover. I sit at a desk and help people that come in, file papers, do some running around and anything that really needs to be done.
A goal I have for this class is to be able to write an awesome paper. I want to learn all of the facts that students should know about writing a paper and how to get the best grade. Hopefully I get a lot out of this class and learn valuable information that will prepare me for future papers and classes.
